Why Choose Us

Heartfilled Care Provides services that support your health, wellness, and independence.

We provide ADL (Activities for Daily Living) and quality of life to our clients and their families.

Community, social outings, and activities are paramount to the quality of life.

Services for all Ages

Services for All Ages

Our services show people in facilities that we care for and about them.

Social support:

We help people participate in social activities. These activities provide the person with enjoyment, recreation, and a chance to meet with friends. This can be beneficial to single parents or parents that just need a break with young children or teens.

Children:

When hospital care is needed and your child is admitted to the pediatric unit, extra care is offered in our business while in the unit and discharged back home. Sometimes problems occur in families. For example, a parent is sick, ill, or disabled. Mothers and newborns: complications and difficulties can occur at any time during pregnancy through the six to eight weeks after childbirth. Mothers may need assistance with their care, or with newborns. For example, an infant with special needs requires extra time and attention.

Family support:

I am a graduate of Thompson’s direct physiology for children.

Supports:

Grandparents raising grandchildren. Raising your grandchildren can be a rewarding and challenging experience. Take advantage of Heartfilled Support Services that are available to you, and take care of yourself as well as your grandchildren to build a strong family unit. I was presented with a certificate by the Blyth festival theatre for appreciation of outstanding contributions.

“He who gives of his time is the strength of the community and the cornerstone of tomorrow’s world.”

Effective home care assistance

What can we do for a loved one?

No two people are alike and neither are their care needs.  After a short intake call, Heartfilled Care will work closely with you and your family to come up with an individual care plan that gives your loved one the precise attention they need.  Our custom care plan can be designed to help individuals overcome health and mobility challenges, function better with conditions like dementia, heart disease, paraplegia, or serve arthritis, and more.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

Caregivers may need assistance in performing physically demanding tasks, such as bathing, moving, or dressing a person. Caregivers may want to consider seeking professional help if their loved one: requires full assistance with daily and personal care activities.

Parkinson’s Care

Caring for someone with Parkinson's requires patience, an understanding of Parkinson's symptoms , recognition of the importance of medication timing, and the ability to provide support on an ongoing basis. Expert care improves the quality of life for your loved one.

There are also some foods that a person with Parkinson's may wish to avoid. These include processed foods such as canned fruits and vegetables, dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, and low fat milk, and those that are high in cholesterol and saturated fat.

Post-Stroke Care

We provide personal care such as bathing and dressing, coordinate health care needs  - including medications and doctor and rehab appointments,. and help the patient maintain and increase their ability to function

Special Needs Care

Although we do not administer medications, we organize and provide essential medication reminders, and monitor meds to ensure the right meds are given at the right time.

Cancer Care

A caregiver plays a key role in the Patient's care. Good, reliable caregiver support is crucial to the physical and emotional well-being of people with cancer.

We may help feed, dress , and bathe the patient. These roles change as the Patients needs change during and after cancer treatments,

On top of the normal day to day tasks such as meals,. cleaning , and driving, or arranging transportation, as a caregiver, we will be an important part of the cancer care team.

We treat the whole individual and not just the cancer issues.

Hospice / Respite Care

It is of great importance that those who are receiving end-of-life care are allowed comfort and dignity in their final days. I can provide palliative care for the dying, and respite care for your loved ones.

Tiered Exercise Program

“I have learned how to plan, manage, and deliver programs for all kinds of people, and thanks to field trips and practicing my profession, my learning has gone beyond the classroom.” - Kyle

Kyle is a graduate of the Recreation and Leisure program at Fanshawe College and is well-liked by the elderly. He also has BSO (Behavioural System Outreach) training and Tiered Exercise Training from the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging.

There are clear benefits to the exercise programs, as activity benefits your health, improves cognition, reduces falls, improves sleep, reduces cardiovascular issues, and improves balance.

Dietary/Cook Aide

We are able to prepare food according to best practices in safe food preparation and handling, including meals for specialized diets.  We provide this service at home, care facility, or the hospital.

Cooking can be a real challenge when faced with blindness or vision loss.

Heartfilled care uses clock face techniques. This is a simple way to describe location.

Serving food on a dish is convenient and easier when you refer to as a clock face.

Behavioral Outreach System

The Outreach team works to build trusting relationships to enable clients to transition to placement in an appropriate setting where they obtain treatment and housing services to stabilize their life.

New Moms and Dads Support

There's no way around it: Those early days with a newborn are hard. From dealing with the sleep deprivation and keeping your new baby fed and healthy to balancing all the additional housework — the challenges of a newborn may seem endless. Luckily, our friends, family and coworkers are often there to help us, though they may not always know how to help in a meaningful way.

“Some new parents have a hard time asking for help or knowing what they need,” says Brea Loewit, certified nurse practitioner, board-certified lactation consultant and childbirth educator. As a result, she says, friends and family may struggle to support a newly grown family..

Let us help you!
